Project 1 - Arthshila
Narrative
This wayfinding system celebrates Indian heritage while embracing a modern journey. It integrates traditional materials—wood, metal, khadi, and glass—to guide art enthusiasts through the rich narrative of Indian contemporary art. Inspired by traditional Indian styles with bold block printing motifs, the system uses a neutral palette to enhance visual appeal. Fabric signage is framed with wood or metal for stability, blending tradition with modern aesthetics to honor the past while shaping the future.
Materials
The wayfinding system blends tradition and modernity through wood for grounding, metal for progress, khadi for heritage, and glass for curiosity. Wooden, illuminated boards and khadi panels with block prints combine function and artistry, while sliding glass panels allow easy updates. Fire exit signs use wood, khadi, and luminescent vinyl for safety and cohesion, creating a seamless, culturally rich visitor experience.

Project 2 - IndiaHikes
Brief
The brief aimed to propose strategic solutions to bring the values and essence of the Indiahikes brand across its Himalayan basecamps. The existing camps lacked a cohesive identity and effective wayfinding—laminated signages often fell due to wind, zones were poorly marked, and tent names were unclear, causing confusion, especially in harsh weather. Through research, I identified a robust wayfinding system as the ideal solution to strengthen brand presence and improve navigation. Founded over 12 years ago by Arjun Majumdar and Sandhya UC, Indiahikes promotes sustainable, community-driven trekking with the belief that “Everyone Must Trek.” Their Green Trails initiative reflects their mission to make trekking accessible and eco-conscious, encouraging self-reliance, fitness, and responsible exploration of the mountains.

Materials & Measurements
The Indiahikes basecamp identity mirrors the website experience, the trekkers’ first touchpoint, through cohesive design and colors. Signages use green for icons and accents, paired with Ryman Gothic Black for impact and ITC Franklin Gothic for reliability. Made from lightweight, weather-resistant, and recyclable Dibond panels, the signs feature mountain-inspired rectangular and triangular forms with rounded edges to withstand wind. Solar-powered LED lighting ensures durability and sustainability, while direct printing and high-contrast colors enhance visibility and reinforce the brand’s clear, consistent wayfinding experience.
